2 Day Affair

I guess that quote should include women, too.  I crossed my fingers and cast out my line many times at Sn@tch, but it wasn't fish I was after....it was this 22 piece outfit called 2 Day Affair (fishing prize - 0L).  It took me a few days, but I was finally able to reel in all 22 pieces.  Actually, this is not just an outfit, it's a complete ensemble including the fun, fur covered boots, pants, a skirt, an organza bow, jacket, fish net tights, garter socks, and the necklace and earrings shown below.   Since this is such a long post with lots of pictures, I'm going to embed the links right in the text and list the prices there, too, rather than at the end of the post as I usually do.

You can get  the hair in all but the last photo in tons of colors at (red)Mint.  It's actually a free demo (!), but is a wearable hair, too.  I love the way it cascades over the shoulders.  The hair in the last picture is Hollana from Truth Hair, which is available at Collabor88 for only 88L per color pack.  My skin is one that I blogged already, but I love it so much, I haven't taken it off yet!  Joelle is a free group gift at Lara Hurley Skin.  The only make up touches I've added are Miss Vanity Eyeshadow in neutra from Mock Cosmetics (40L) and Mysteria Mesh Lashes from Gaeline Cosmetics (180L).  My light aqua peepers are Sunrise Eyes in Light Verdigris and were a group gift from Ikon (sadly, no longer free).  Head on over to Ikon, tap the group join, and wait for the first weekend of the month - that's when group members are treated to free eyes. 

Sn@tch an Early Flower

Sn@tch has a new fishing prize called 2 Day Affair that I am working on collecting one piece at a time, and hope to blog for you soon.  While angling in the azure indoor pool, I am also keeping an eye on the Lucky Boards, and I've scooped up a few prizes to show you (more to come in future blog posts).  This buttoned floral cardigan called Early Flower was the first goodie I received.  The prize is actually a fat pack of six different colors.  I am showing taupe right now.  I love the floral print and the way the sweater is slightly open.  It shows off the flawless texture of Joelle, the gorgeous group gift from Lara Hurley.  I had never tried one of her skins before, and wow, am I impressed!  I will definitely try more in the near future!  Joelle features subtle blush and shimmering pink lips....she is simply beautiful.  Miss Vanity Eyeshadow in neutra and Mysteria mesh lashes from Gaeline Cosmetics are my only additions to the subtle, yet sexy, girl-next-door appeal of Joelle.  My Sunrise Eyes in light green from Ikon are one of my all time favorites.  My Touches of Heart necklace is one of the offerings from Fifty5 Thursdays this week.  I know it's not Thursday any more (thank goodness for that!), but you can still scoop up the Fifty5 Thursdays items through the weekend.  Shhhhh, don't tell anyone, but this actually is a guy's necklace.  I saw those dangling hearts and I knew this necklace was destined for my inventory.  I took a chance that I'd be able to re-size it, and I'm so glad I did! Sahar in Paisley

I was lucky enough to tap the MM board at Wow Skins and won Sahar... a complete avatar.  Here I am showing you Sahar in Natural which has a gentle, romantic beauty.  The package also includes Sahar in Day Make Up and Soire Make Up as well as the Sahar shape and clothing, not shown.  The only additions I've made to Sahar are Simatpico eyeliner in brown black from Mock Cosmetics and Mysteria meshes from Gaeline Cosmetics.  My paisley dress is FA Creations' Paisley Mesh Cross Halter dress.  This long, formal gown has a firey warmth which is sure to please.  My customizable mesh ballet flats from Meli Imako are well worth the 200L price.  These flats are easy to tint in a multitude of colors; they are definitely a fashion staple of mine!  Finally, my hairstyle is Rashida in toast from Truth Hair.

Debby

This fair, fresh-faced beauty is Debby, and she's only 70L at The Boobies Planet (and yes, it felt strange to type THAT...lol).  I love the beauty mark above the left corner of the mouth in this skin.  The Lolas tango applier is included with this skin, but I chose not to wear it...I know a lot are wearing them in SL, but it's just not my style.  Pink lips and baby blue eyeshadow tattoo layers are also included, but not worn in this photo.  I did add two freebies from Mock Cosmetics, though.  First, my eyeshadow is a group gift from Mockie called Love Cycle eyeshadow (two).  On my lips, I added Opal Lipcolor, Contessa, also from Mock, which is a free tester.  A touch of Simpatico eyeliner from Mock (part of the truck sale I mentioned in my last post) and Mysteria mesh lashes from Gaeline Cometics completed the look.  My hair is an adorable, casual style called Lavinia from Truth.  I am wearing one of the colors in the fades pack.

This cute cropped, knotted plaid top is part of a freebie outfit from FA Creations which I picked up on the Marketplace.  The Tartan Ripped Jeans Set includes this tied up blouse and also some tattered jeans and a bandana, which I chose not to wear for this picture.  Instead, I am wearing Skinny Jeans #4 from Maitreya... an old favorite.

My accessories today are available from Maxi Gossamer at Collabor88 for only 88L each.  Erzulie's Love Charm Necklace comes in two different lengths in silver and gold.  The chunky Damasc bangles allow for a choice of several combinations which can be worn on the left or right arm.  I would LOVE to have these bangles in rl!

Alira's Angel Wings

With a laced corset, striped tights and distressed fabric textures, Alira's Favole is perfect for fantasy role play or just a shabby chic fairy look.  Although I am showing this outfit with my shape and skin, for only 99L, the complete package on the Marketplace contains the outfit shown, including ballet flats and tiny crow's wings, and also has a shape, skin, eyes, hair flowers and shoulder raven which I am not wearing in this photo.  It's hard to believe that this is alisson Kira's first creation of an outfit!  It's a hit with me and I'm looking forward to what this talented designer creates next!

Can I Keep Him?

While out and about exploring, I found this adorable little guy, and wanted very much to bring him home.  Sigh, but the answer was, "Errrrrrr.....exactly how huge is he?"  Sadly, I had to leave the cub with a kiss on the nose and a fishy snack, but I did get to bring home this sweet outfit.  At only 25L, it was an affordable addition that will easily fit into any closet.  Winter Day's Outfit (Grey) is currently available from Faded Ink on the Marketplace, and includes the sweater, scarf, dark jeans and boots above as well as a sweater dress that I chose not to show.  My shoulder-length Argrace hair falls in soft waves from under the tintable beanie.  My skin, lashes and eyes have all been blogged previously.

With the frosty winter air, it's time to warm things up a bit.  This lovely gown called Karen from Elegant Fashion is 99L on the Marketplace right now.  My hair is a holiday gift from Lelutka called Vent.  The group is free to join and Vent comes in a variety of colors.  Mock Cosmetics recently sent out some holiday gifts to group members as well.  My shimmering lips are called Micare Glimmer in Russian Red.  They are not in the group notices any longer, but when I checked, a box called Red Holiday, packed full of red hued lips and blushes, is still available for members.  The group is not free to join, but gifts are frequent and generous from Mockie.  I've also worn two other make up layers from Mock Cosmetics.  My eyes are lined with Honoriable eyeliner in black followed by Miss Vanity Eyeshadow with lashes in neutra.  Mysteria mesh lashes from Gaeline Cosmetics provided the finishing touch for my make up.

I guess being with family and friends for the holiday left me feeling sentimental, because I have another retro outfit for you today.  My rose-colored fringed vest is from BoHo HoBo and was available yesterday as part of Fifty5 Thursdays.  Under my vest, I am wearing one of my fashion staples, an intrinsic tank in blush, from Jane.  They come in a multitude of colors and are free!  These brightly-hued Flower Power jeans are also available at BoHo Hobo, and they come with the belt shown.  I tinted my free Sunara necklace from Burroughs Jewelry to coordinate with my outfit.  Also free, my Chloe SK Group Gift skin has been embellished with make up layers from Mock Cosmetics.  One thing I love about the Firestorm Viewer is the ability to wear multiple layers of make up.  First, I began by wearing Mythic Neutralizer from Mock to tone down the pink and purple hues in the free skin.  Next, I added the free Opal LipColor Contessa tester from Mock for a soft blush tone on my lips.  Finally, I applied Funsies eyeliner in smoked senna, also from Mock.  My lovely hazel Eternal eyes from Ikon are rimmed with Mysteria Mesh lashes from Gaeline Cosmetics.  To soften the darker brows of the Chloe skin, I added Belleza's Chloe SK light brows.  My hair today is actually a combination of two styles from Catwa.  The bangs are from Rosa and the rest is from Razan, both are in the shade "honey."

Gazing thoughtfully over the rippling fields at Alirium, there is beauty to behold not only in my Sunrise Eyes in Pale Arabian Blue from Ikon, but also in Sophia, a pre-release skin from PXL Creations which can only be found at Around the World.  This creamy, sun kissed skin comes in your choice of a variety of lip tones, but here, I've chosen to have naturally bare lips.  I've added Sophia Smokey Eyes, the tattoo layer also available from the skin vendor.  Mysteria mesh lashes finish up the light touch of make up around my eyes.  My Four Seasons corset is part of the outfit awaiting your discovery of the autumn leaf in the Falling into the Season Hunt at Bitch Tail.   This corset dresses up beautifully with the skirt included in the hunt gift, but also looks fantastic with a faded pair of blue jeans.  I think this hunt ends very soon, so if you like this corset as much as I do, don't delay on this one.  My Shadow Lord Choker, a gift from Ronsem provides a simple, color coordinated accessory.  Side parted, blonde tresses from Elikatira fit the dreamy mood of the scene perfectly.
